happy birthday.

For Jeff's birthday I woke up at six to make Jeff's favorite breakfast
after he left for work I decided to make him a happy birthday sign
then I made some paper patterns for what I was going to make Jeff's cupcakes look like
it took me all day and they didn't turn out as good as I had hoped..
but he was still super happy to get them :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFFREY DAVID!! I LOVE YOU!!!

add.

Last month was Jeff's birthday and I got this brilliant idea that I was going to make him cupcakes and take them to his work.. a few days later I had the idea to learn how to make fondant and decided that I was not only going to make him cup cakes but I was going to make some super cute cupcakes with little fondant tools on top! So I went on a google search and came up with some pretty cute ideas! Later that day I spent sometime watching videos on YouTube and was pretty sure that making this fondant was going to be super easy.... little did I know...

My first batch was going to be red: a half an hour later I was covered from head to toe in powdered sugar, hands burnt (because the marshmallows are SO hot when they come out.. and I thought it would be smarter to use my hands to mix it instead of a spoon), Frosting seriously plastered to my counter and the bowl... and a huge batch of pink frosting...

Seriously two minutes after I had cleaned up the very last of it Jeff walked in the door...
It was then I decided that if I wanted this to stay a surprise I was going to need some help, so I texted my sister-in-law and she came over later that night to help me...
Once we finally got the hang of it were had used all of our marshmellows as practice so we had to make a walmart run, it was about 11pm... yep that's what we looked like walking through walmart... Paige wouldn't let me leave the house unless I had lots of powered sugar on my face.

While we were looking for the marshmellows we found a box of chocolate rice crispys and decided that they sounded really good... A few hours later...

i love my mom.
