pound the pavement.

Hey everyone! So I have a friend her name is Sarah.
She has some really good friends that live next to her.
They have been trying to have kids for a while now, but just found out that without getting a Vitro Fertilization they have a slim to zero chance of ever having there own baby.
This is a wonderful chance for them, but it comes at a high cost of 12,000 Dollars.

Along with Sarah I am very excited to announce for this family that there will be a 5K run/walk, Pound The Pavement For Parenthood, it will be held November 13th, to help raise money for this wonderful family!!!

Pre registering will end Saturday, November 10th and is only 15 Dollars.
Same day registering will only be 20 Dollars.

The run/walk will end in saratoga springs and there will be a live band, raffle for gifts, service from local vendors, and a wonderful homemade bake sale!

So put on your walkin' shoes and pound the pavement to help out this family, because you know they would do the same for you!!!

i love brown.

This is my new best friend Elissa (and her hubby). She is pretty much me in another body. Seriously.

Elissa and I became friends one night when our hubbies were playing some halo and we started talking about quilting :) ever since that night we are always doing one craft or another! and this is one of our crafts that we made last week to help fallalize our homes :) enjoy!

I went for more of a fall look so I can leave mine up longer.

But Elissa went for Halloween, which I totally love!!

fall is in the air.

I love fall. I love the changing colors. I love wearing jackets. I love the way the mountains look. I love pumkins. I just love everything about it! It is totally my most favorite time of the year hands down!! Just to show you a little how much I really love fall I have some pictures of what i've been up to fallalize my house!
#1. Because Jeff and I are both going to school full time, and are crazy poor I have started getting super crafty to save some money. I was reallly bad wanting a wreath to hang on my front door but all the ones I found that I LOVED were WAY too much money :( So I started thinking about it really hard and came up with what I thought was a pretty cleaver idea :)...<>

First I started with a bunch of dead sticks I found in my grandpa's front yard

Next I took some wire and made the shape I wanted

Then I spray painted it black

and then added some fake spider webs and spiders to it...

and TA-DA my very own homemade halloween wreath! and it only cost me about 3 dollars to make :)
** more of my fall projects coming soon!!**

redo.

So about a month ago when Jeff and I moved down to cedar my darling aunt gave us an old kitchen table, because we didn't have one for our cute little apartment!

It was a beautiful solid black table, but it had been used as a outside/backyard table for the past few years so it had some pretty bad sun/water/everything weather damage to it.

I loved it black and had planned on just sanding off the old pealing paint and then repainting it black again but as I was searching for websites on how to redo tables I came across this super cute blog!! (<--- click there to go check out the super cute blog!)

While I was reading pretty much every post she had written I came across this table she had redone and I fell IN LOVE with it!!! Seriously.

Well trying to be adventerous, I decided to take a chance and try to paint my table just like the table I saw on this blog!!

I started out with buying all the supplies I needed, ended up spending about 27 dollars on the paint for the chairs, and 31 dollars for the paint for the table. But some of the stuff I bought can be used again for my future products.
